Guest guest
Well, I just found out last wednesday that My husband has Adenocarcinoma of the top left top lung. It is about 3 cm. We will be going to Memphis to the West Cancer Center Wednesday, morning. I am trying to Educate myself as much as I can, so I will have some idea on what to ask the doctors and what to expect. I have tried to turn this one over to the Lord because I can't handle this one on my own. If anyone out there has any questions that I need to ask please post so I can write them down. I have been hitting the internet as much as possible just thought Ya'll just might has some help for me. _______________ Windows Live™ Hotmail®:…more than just e-mail. http://windowslive.com/explore?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_t2_hm_justgotbetter_explore_022\
Guest guest
Janet, Sorry to hear about your troubles. If I had a cancer diagnosis I would invest in a Ralph Moss report. Ralph is that rare animal: someone at home in both regular medicine and alternative approaches. He has made quite a study of any methods from any tradition that work. Take a look at his website: http://ralphmoss.com All the best Ien in the Kootenays http://freegreenliving.com (blog)
Guest guest
I'm sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis Janet. I have had 3 different types of cancer and I'm still kicking. The key is To educate yourself as much as possible. Is this small cell or Non-small cell cancer? There's a huge difference. The supplement Curcumin has shown extreme benefit in lung cancers, especially When taken with chemo. Go with your gut regarding treatment And don't be afraid to " doctor shop " . Don't let doctors bully you either. Decisions made out of fear are usually bad ones. Guest guest
Darlin you are already getting this under control......writing down what you want to know. Tack that list on the fridge or bulletin board and any thing that comes to you , write it down. The doctor works for you. You guys are the boss. He'll probably be very cooperative with you and if you don't understand a term, ask him/her to rephrase it until you get what he is saying. I had to do that with the doctor my daughter had. It's difficult enough to make decisions on the best approach to take. Sorting thru the terminology is time consuming and sometimes things are forgotten, its overwhelming. Do an outline and as each new question pops up, write it down and when you have your appt, don't leave until each and every thing you have on there is checked off and then ask the doctor 'have I left anything out?'.... I think you'll find that simply taking the time as you already have will vastly help you and give you strength and put you a step ahead with what you have already familiarized yourselves with. This will make the discussion easier and cut down that awkward time between you guys and the doc if you can get down to business and make a plan as you will have real quality time out of your session. I'll be sending lots of energy your way......that is a fact. Good luck, be safe and if you feel lost I learned a neat trick.......when I get overwhelmed and my head is just scattered I look down at my feet and ask myself 'Mo, where are your feet? (I'm looking right at them), they're right here ....and so should my head. Sounds silly but works for me. --- On Wed, 2/25/09, Stargazer <Stargazer wrote: Stargazer <Stargazer Re: Adenocarcinoma Wednesday, February 25, 2009, 3:34 AM I'm sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis Janet.
