A few years ago when my first GS was a baby I made a cream to be used

for his diaper rash. Now my second GS (not even 2 wks old has a severe

case of diaper rash) I THOUGHT it was from the Donna Maria book, but I

can't find it in my book. The formula had no preservaties and required

refrigeration. Does anyone know where I can find such a formula?

Maybe I am looking in the wrong place! I would appreciate any help

you dear folks can offer. Thank you.

Jan,

I think 2 weeks old is a bit young for EO's. I would try some old timey

ideas. How about zinc oxide (worked like a charm for our dgs), A & D ointment,

or browned flour.

Just my piddly .02,

Jan S

This is a bit late, but when my kids were in diapers and suffering from really

chafed painful diaper rash, a friend came over and put liquid Maalox on a cotton

ball and put it on " the affected area " and it worked really well. I am lucky and

don't have stomach problems severe enough that I have to ingest the stuff, and I

am kinda suspicious of big OTC pharma, but their little bottoms were so sore

that you could see it really hurt to smear zinc oxide or any cream on, so I was

relieved that this worked.

I'd be very interested to know of a more natural solution that doesn't involve

subsidizing big pharma!
