Guest guest
I have used beeswax salve for clients in the past with babies who have diaper rash. You simply heat 1 part of beeswax and add about 7 parts of a carrier oil to make it into a creamy, paste. To this I have added a small amount of pure and natural lavender oil. Be well, Rachel A. Now my second GS (not even 2 wks old has a severe case of diaper rash) I THOUGHT it was from the Donna Maria book, but I can't find it in my book. The formula had no preservaties and required refrigeration. Does anyone know where I can find such a formula? Maybe I am looking in the wrong place! I would appreciate any help you dear folks can offer. Thank you. Jan G in MI
Guest guest
Good ideas . . . I find that lavender is sometimes too drying and have used blue cypress (very sparingly) with good results. Diaper rashes these days aren't at all the same as when my children (adults) were babies. They can become serious infections and cellulitus, even staff. We make a healing skin hydrosol, combining Hydrosols of Lavender, Witch Hazel, Frankincense, Blue Cypress, Tea Tree, Roman Chamomile, Sandalwood and Ledum with Myrrh tincture that when diluted is soothing and effective. A warm bath. Light spritz and letting baby roam around without a diaper for a while helps, too. Only have to pay close attention to catch the potential mess on the couch or carpet. :-3 You might want to try your own combination of hydrosols.
