" Brand " should not an issue .. unless .. we discuss the major brands sold in

Health Food stores or sold my multi-level marketing companies (like Young

Living) .. then its a good idea to avoid them because (1) the former is not

really into Essential Oils .. its a side line and the quality of their

products may or may not be known by them .. and (2) the latter is known to

be overpriced due to their having to share profits with an up and down line

... and they are notorious for lack of truth in advertising and putting out

unsafe information on the use of Essential Oils.

 

There is no " brand " when a producer (distiller or whatever) is extracting an

Essential Oil .. reputable and responsible dealers are what you are really

looking for and the best place to start is looking at those dealers who have

been in business a long time .. and write/participate on this News Group.

I have known most of the sellers on this group since the group began with a

couple of hundred people .. the List Mom is one of those dealers. She and

the others I speak of are responsible for the growth of the group. I have

known some of the others since before the group was started .. since 1995 or

so.

 

Of all the dealers I know who write on this list .. who take time from their

busy schedules to reply to inquiries and put out safety information .. none

of them do so because they have a Mother Theresa complex .. because they are

bored and are looking for something to do .. or because they yearn to see

their names in print .. they do this as a public service and that is related

to their own marketing efforts. Finally .. and most important of all ..

they want to ensure that people do use Essential Oils in a safe and

responsible manner because the future of our freedom of choice in treating

ourselves .. as well as the future of our own businesses .. depends on

educating the public. We are realists and pragmatists .. and we provide

good service before and after the sale if you should have questions on a

particular Essential Oil. If someone does not believe this I would ask for

a show of hands of how many of you have been told to NOT purchase and use

this or that EO for this or that problem. We can not stay in business by

putting out Bovine Excrement and Unsafe Recommendations just to sell an EO.

 

I believe that you can not get a more accurate answer to your question.

What I have written here will lead you to some pleasant experiences in using

quality Essential Oils and allow you to purchase them for a fair price.
