I am mother of two kids and married to a Veteran. I enjoy learning about

different uses for herbs and spices other than just cooking. I

have two cats and my second child is due in August. This group just

sounded like fun to me.

Welcome Kathy !

Yes, learning about herbs is fun  :)

Congratulations on the baby to be and I hope you don't live somewhere too

hot.    Being pregnant in the summer is tough   :(

My son was born during the month of July.

I live in Gulf Coast TX. Hot and humid for sure, but we've had a very unusual 2

days with weather that reminds me more of Colorado in summer than Houston. Low

humidity, cool nights ...

Welcome aboard Kathy. May you have access to A/C throughout the summer of your

pregnancy! :)

Laura,

nice to meet you. I am already hating the temperatures

and they are in the 70's. I know that I am hot nature to

begin with and that it is worse because of being pregnant.

I really didn't want to get in to my car this afternoon to go

pick up my son from school. I was so glad for air conditioning

when I got back. So what are some of your favorite herbs and

essential oils? I love to use lavender in my bath water and I have

found that rosemary is helpful with digestion. I use the lavender as

a perfume rather than paying for the cheap store brands that never

seem to smell as nice on as they do in the store.

Be blessed

Kathy

Chris,

thank you for the warm welcome and

wishes. I know what you mean by the

weather reminding you of another place.

Today was nice without the humidity, but

the car was hot. My husband didn't crack

the windows in the car, so it may as well

been in the 100degree marks.

Be blessed

LOL - It is the same here in Ohio in July and August... the heat wouldn't be as

bad, but add in that nasty humidity and I have a hard time just breathing - let

alone actually doing anything - LOL
