Some suppliers offer a rectified bitter almond essential oil... and a lot

of us offer Sandalwood Oil... blend until it 'smells right' to you..

In the case of bitter almond EO, means pulling out the prussic acid, aka

hydrogen cyanide...

 

In a broader sense, it could be thought of as making the EO safe, or

" right " .....

 

Bitter almond and bergamot (bergaptene in this case) are the EOs most

commonly treated in this sense....

Hi Lori.....

 

Bergamot with out the process is highly phototoxic, as are some other

citrus oils (but less so).......

 

You can source it either way...

 

Bitter almond without rectification you'd want if studying to be a

venefice.....<G>.....

 

I have not run across it not rectified....
