Guest guest
Hello all, i am new to EOs and bought my first oils this week. One, grapefruit...i adore the smell. Two, juniper berry. Now, how to apply them. i am reading that one must use a carrier oil and would like to know if i can use olive oil, grapeseed oil and/or almond oil...since i always have olive oil on hand, have full bottle of the grapeseed and almond oils. i tend to overdo and want to use what i have. thanks, for any help! diana from san diego

Hi Diana, and welcome... you are correct about always needing to dilute them... but for the two oils that you have, both the juniper and the grapefruit... both can be skin irritants, so I'd think more about diffusing them in the air. although, a lot of people swear by one or both of those for use against cellulite... in which case you might think about using them in a salt scrub... or in bath salts. but they sure do smell yummy! Guest guest
i purchased both of the oils for my arthritis...however, still do not know how to apply them. i have put both of the oils on my palm since i did not know anything about the skin irritant factor and neither of them were irritating to me... and again, i could sniff that grapefruit allll day long. so, any more help would be so appreciated. diana , Marge Clark <marge wrote: > > At 04:49 AM 7/16/2009, you wrote: > >Hello all, > > > >i am new to EOs and bought my first oils this week. For Arthritis, I'd try to find St. John's Wort infused oil. add the eo's to that, and massage into the suggested joints. (The SJW is a powerful pain reliever all by itself.)
