Guest guest Posted August 10, 2009 Report Share Posted August 10, 2009 I've been growing and using holy basil herb for a few years, and it has quickly become one of my top 5 herbs. I grow 18 to 24 plants each year, and will double that next year. All of it is used in tinctures and teas. I've been hesitant to try tossing any in the still because it is so wonderful as an herb. Can anyone tell me about properties of the essential oil or distillate? Just in case I need to start a few flats over the winter :-).
