Why the NP group has standards *was* When everything lines up.......

Charges of bias and exclusion are based on experience. As list mom on

the NP group I can testify that our list, compiled over seven years,

includes suppliers not on the NP group. This is especially true of the

wholesale suppliers, glass and bottle suppliers, etc. Being such a

large, busy group, we have had a number of predatory suppliers try to

get on the list to have access to our large readership of eager buyers.

We've also ejected those who obviously sell stuff they're not familiar

with, thereby opening our customers up to buying bunk, or those who have

had abusive relationships with group members. In addition, we try to

protect our readers from those who charge rip off prices, especially

when I know the source they're buying from and how much they're tacking

on outrageous mark ups.

Chris, the list mom here on OHE is a moderator there, and we have

adopted identical vetting procedures for those who are listed and can

advertise on the NP group.

In other words, we try to protect our group members. End of story.

and we invite

those who love natural aromatics to join us and take part in our lively,

informative discussions, and, of course, make use of our fantastic

archives, links, etc.

Exactly what I said, Anya, " biased, arbitrary, exclusionary . . . Based on

Guild owner's preferences. (Posts were specific to NP Guild, but you

misconstrued them to address NP list.)

The explanations you've provided are also arbitrary and your comments might

hint at industrial espionage . . . " especially when I know the source

they're buying from " . . . Leaves you quite open to legal inquiry, IMO.

Which of those arbitrary explanations would cover removing me from the NP

discussion list as well? Just curious.
