Guest guest
> > hey Tammy > would you believe that there have been actual studies on the cleanliness issue? Apparently kids who are kept too clean ARE getting petty illnessess. Some researchers actually suggest that kids who wallow in the mud (exaggerating a bit here) and eat dirt do seem to build up a healthier immune system than those who are wiped down and kept in glass cases (again, exaggerating). Apparently there are microbes, bacteria, whatever that are healthy for the gut and the immune system that if washed away continuously aren't there to help keep your child healthy. Any way, I don't have any links to this issue, but I'm sure they are out there. Actually I took a peek at google, there's quite a bit of debate going on there about this very issue.
