Guest guest
The joys of knowing what you do, but forgetting that not all others do... Prior to replacing the clay poultice wash the area with warm water and a gentle soap. You can use one of your own antiseptic soaps, but that's up to you. If the wound is open and there is a small piece of the clay tucked into a corner and it would be painful to remove it at the time, just leave it and put the next layer over it. It will come out after the next wash. It can be a matter of minutes to treat this type of trauma. Ulcers take just a bit longer.
