Guest guest
Hi All, I have to agree that you have to find balance when it comes to fighting bugs (germs - viruses or bacteria or fungus). Kill off too many of the good ones and you get an over growth of bad ones and well you then might not be able to kill off the bad ones enough to let the good ones be in balance again. What a vicious circle! Our advice is to only use essential oils as needed or to enjoy. (Remember the best germ fighters - usually are the stinkier ones - at least I think so!) At our house and business we don't constantly use the oils. But should we start to feel a little under the weather, we use the ones to help relieve symptoms and to lessen the degree of the severity of the affliction. Thereby letting our body still do the work it needs to to build up our immunity. We have been repeated bombarded by YL customers that have been led to believe they should be using these oils constantly. We have had several cases where they have ingested YL's oils and have literally destroyed their natural flora of bacteria and yeast in their guts and then wonder why they have so many intestinal problems. And skin problems too. Teaching former YL folks about the correct way to use essential oils is one of our constant goals. (Do not ingest and do not apply neatly, among others) Now don't get me wrong as using the oils to freshen the air and clean out stinky smellies, and while doing your routine cleaning is very beneficial. And of course enjoying them diffused in the air will make a for a brighter and more festive day/night/party! We do say, use them BUT don't abuse them. And yes getting a little sick now and again - isn't necessarily a bad thing. In fact, as I write this I'm recovering from a bout of influenza - that for me lasted about 3 days - but for my older sister (who doesn't use any essential oils so to speak) ended up in the hospital with pneumonia for 4 days (and was sick for over 2 weeks)! So, get sick occassionally, a little, but relieve your symptoms as needed with essential oils, give yourself some warm cuddlies and pamper yourself when you are down. But use common sense and don't over do anything! Yours in Aromatherapy, Penny Your One Stop Aromatherapy Shop!
