Howdy y'all,

I believe this is either Cardinal Flower or Fireweed.

>

Could well be .. but it looks exactly like a wild lily that grows all over

West Tennessee.

Botanical name .. I know not so we might have just tacked on the handle Lily

without any justification. ;-)

But .. for the record .. Sage is in the Family Lamiaceae. The Genus is

Salvia and then there are around 900 or so members of the Species.

Like Common Sage (Salvia officinalis)

Kingdom ... Plantae

Order ........ Lamiales

Family ...... Lamiaceae

Genus ...... Salvia

Species .... Officinalis

I mention this simply to point out the need for the new folks to demand to

know the Genus and Species . . and the Origin .. or any EO they purchase.

Some species of a genus might be worth $25 a pound while others might be

worth $125 a pound.
