Guest guest
Afternoon all, Just to through something else into the discussion on EOs and absorption. One of the chemicals in Macadamia oil takes certain molecules/chemicals of essential oils into the bloodstream. This I know, through usage and via talking to a biochemist scientist, and because I make up an analgesic blend targeting specific areas. It works! I know that an ex-member of the group was less than impressed with my usage of Australian Sandalwood, but mixed with Kunzia ambigua (in the USA they have various chemo-types, but in Australia there is only just the one that I am aware of) it creates a terrific painkiller. Combine that blend with your favourite anti-inflammatory blend and use Macadamia oil as your carrier you will get a fabulous pain and inflammation blend. This will penetrate into the capillary system and target your problem area. OK, this is an anecdotal 'proof' of EOs getting into the blood stream, but many of us using EOs have seen this work. There is unlikely to be any scientific work done on this because there are cheaper synthetic products available and you cannot standardised essential oils or any of the 'naturally grown' oils. Nature just doesn't standardise. On Origano. I have made a 'Colds 'n Flu' blend and used it for many years. This year I've added Origano just to strengthen it. I have refused the annual 'flu jab offered to those over 65 as I don't get the 'flu, or haven't since the 50s (the year, not my age). I don't use bacterial wipes because I can't stand the smell and think they are worthless anyway. I am appreciative of the member offering her blend for handsprays and will make mine up sometime soon - this week end is just bad news for timing. OK, my viewpoint on absorption...
