One of the best things I've found is Aloe Vera gel, straight from the plant if

you have one or you can buy it, that and a Vitamin E gel cap, puncture it with a

pin or needle and spread it and the Aloe on the wound. It also helps with

scarring, I cut the heel of my hand badly one time and coldn't stop the bleeding

finally as a last resort I broke a leaf to Aloe and spread it on the wound, it

stopped the bleeding immediately, so I put the aloe and Vit. on it daily and

packed a thick layer of gause over it, it healed quickly and the scar is all but

invisible, I have to really look hard to find it and I can but only because I

know where it is.

this is from the realm of raiding the kitchen for remedies: raw honey helps

fight infection + as with any sugar, it will give a lattice for new cells to

grow on. Also a carrot poultice is good for 1st degree burns -- no idea how it

would feel on something more serious

the problem with putting honey (or sugar) on wounds is that they tend to scar.

good luck!

For any burn, I use the same thing…Comfrey, wheat germ oil, and raw honey, all

in equal parts and making a paste and putting it on the burn. I have never had

any scarring using this recipe, and believe me I have used it on myself and my

family as well. I keep it chilled in the fridge as it feels good to apply cool.

Hi Cindy,

What part or form of the Comfrey do you use? Leaf, root, powder, tea or oil?

Thank you
