Guest guest
Hi All! I am new to this group. My name is Vikki and I am an esthetician and have been incorporating EO's in my facials and body treatments for the last 10 years. I am so happy to be a part of this group of very knowledgeable people! I have a question.... I am trying to make soap (using M & P) as a project with my kids. We thought it would be fun to use Frank and Myrrh EO for the season. The problem is that no matter how much I use, by the time the soap hardens there is barely a scent. I reheated the soap and added quite a bit more. I smelled it while it was hot and was overwhelmed by the strong scent...it was choking. I thought I'd used too much but as soon as it hardened, it was barely noticeable. Can anyone give me any helpful hints? Thank you and Happy Holidays to all! Guest guest
If you add the eo's when the soap is really HOT a lot of it will diffuse off. wait until it cools almost to the hardening point. That will help with the strength of the fragrance. Also after the soap has cured for a while you will notice the fragrance will be stronger.
