lip balm

I apologize if this is a double post. I thought I posted over the weekend but

don't see it here.

 

At any rate, what gives lip balm its 'staying power'? I made some over the

holidays for my family and they liked it, but said it absorbed too quickly.

 

I did use beeswax, which I see is in a lot of lip balms, but perhaps not enough.

Is that the trick? Wouldn't more beeswax just make it harder, not necessarily

longer lasting? Or am I confused?
