Guest guest
Cindy's reponse to the post below brought up a few questions in my mind. I'm just about brand new to this, learning as I go along and really enjoying experimenting with scents and carrier oils and doing all the reading I can. You mention the importance of a germicidal in products, which until you mentioned it, I had not even thought about. Are there natural germicidals that do the same trick as the chemicals on the sites you mentioned? For example, tea tree is a germicidal. Is there are small percentage amount that can be added to a mixture just to inhibit the growth of bacteria in the item, without the aroma of the tea tree coming through? Is there any essential oil, vitamin or other ingredient of the same kind that can be used routinely as a germicidal to inhibit growth of bacteria in the product? Do some essential oils automatically produce a germicidal reaction in the product you use it in that inhibits the growth of bacteria in the product? So much to learn! Thanks.
