Rosehip seed oil, need for different carrier oils, dissolving borax & msm question

Hi Folks:

Just a quick note to reply on rosehip seed oil and acne scars.  Am sure there

are many oils that would compliment rosehip seed oil to use on the face and I

have used many, but my thoughts would be to lighten the Rhs oil, I would

consider using Fractionated Coconut with it.  To lighten it and to bump up it's

healing potential, I would add a bit of Calophyum aka Tamanu oil to it.  Say 40

% Rosehip seed oil, 40% F. Coconut, and at the most 20% of the Tamanu oil.  The

Tamanu is a bit difficult to get use to the smell of it.

My favorite eo's to add to such for mature skin would be Frankincense, Neroli,

and Sandalwood for all around skin.

Never used it for this purpose, but from all I've read, Palmarosa eo is supposed

to be great for acne and should help with scarring too.

We're in a pickle with a move on the property and my computer is at one place

and I at another, but if I hae the opportunity, I will try to do a bit more

research.  Or you can by going to your search engine and typing in acne scars &

essential oils.  You may have to spend a bit of time with it, but all good

things come to those that do the research. ;)

Carrier oils:  Love to see a good book about them!  Over the years I have used

numerous ones.  Everything from Evening Primrose for eczema formula, to Avocado

for luscious body oil, Grapeseed oil, which I don't use anymore due to solvents

being used to extract it.  Rosehip seed oil for mature and scarring, still love

it.  Jojoba, which went rancid on me when it was used in an infusion that I

worked my butt off on, Safflower, Camelina which I like for a cheap oil to mix

with. Have spent a fortune on EVOO for infusions.

Here is what I use mostly now:  Fractionated Coconut Oil, for it's timeless date

of rancidity, and I've grown very fond of an Organic Sunflower Oil, both of

which I use by the gallon.  This organic sunflower has the longest shelf life

I've ever seen, and I'm not above cooking with it.  Both come from Natural

Formulations, hope nobody minds but here is their info if you want it.  They

impress me by not taking me to the cleaners in shipping charges, the high

quality oils and fast service.  Tell them I said hello, if you call them.  I

won't make a dime off of them, but I can appreciate a good deal and share the

info. Their number is 800-368-5426

For reasonable prices on all other oils, I use Lights your Way.  Dawn and Pete

are the best and have all kinds of exotic oils at all sizes for reasonable

prices.  They are on ebay, but I normally deal direct via email and paypal.

They even had a decent deal on Wheat germ oil when I needed it for a formula.

Even tho I've cut down on the different carrier oils used, I still use several

different butters, but hands down Mango Butter is my fav.  Was able to find a

company that does tubs of several #'s to save money last time I bought.  They

are oilsbynature.com

Question for those of you that have worked with these two ing.  Noticed that

Serena? makes an MSM formula.  My question is:  Is MSM hard to dissolve?  Any

hints would be appreciated.  Been keeping my eye on some pharmaceutial msm for a

while now and might like to add it to a couple of formulas.

Next question:  A long while back I tried to dissolve some borax into natural

cleaner and it kept settling in the bottom of the bottle~no matter how much I

tried to shake it, etc.  Do I need to heat it?  How the heck does it go thru the

wash cycle if it does not dissolve???  Any thoughts on this would be most

appreciated!

Note:  Those of you that are diabetic but like a mixed drink now and then, but

can't use simple syrup:  Have been noticing that some chefs are using Agave

nectar instead of the simple sugar syrup.  Noticed that one company that sells

it states that you can make Tequila with it.   WOW!

My best to you and yours & a most fragrant day to ya,

deb
