Guest guest
Deborah Swanson <Hi Folks: Carrier oils: Love to see a good book about them! Over the years I have used numerous ones. Everything from Evening Primrose for eczema formula, to Avocado for luscious body oil, Grapeseed oil, which I don't use anymore due to solvents being used to extract it. Rosehip seed oil for mature and scarring, still love it. Jojoba, which went rancid on me when it was used in an infusion that I worked my butt off on, Safflower, Camelina which I like for a cheap oil to mix with. Have spent a fortune on EVOO for infusions.> Hi Deb, Have you seen Len Price's book on fixed oils? Title: Carrier Oils for Aromatherapy & Massage. It's the best one I've found. About 30 or so profiles and chapters on chemistry of fixed oils, refining process, etc. Updated reprint in 1999. There might be a more recent one out there by someone else, but I'm not aware if so. You can check out index and some of the chapters here http://tinyurl.com/y8vmahw Be Well, Marcia Elston, Samara Botane/Nature Intelligence http://www.wingedseed.com http://www.wingedseed.blogspot.com http://www.aromaconnection.org
Guest guest
Wow, I had a peek inside this book on Amazon and I feel like I've died and gone to heaven. Thanks, Marcia! Guest guest
I liked it too but until it is back in print it is out of my range. I did find a couple of websites with useful info (can't vouch for the accuracy of the info, I am still a beginner). http://www.zhealthinfo.com/carrier.htm http://www.aromaweb.com/articles/whatcarr.asp (this site I trust) http://www.holisticserums.com/naturals/oils/carriers.shtml http://www.fromnaturewithlove.com/library/carrieroilprofiles.asp Back to reading!
