Guest guest
What is the best equipment to use for making or distilling essential oils from herbs - small batches only needed. Sheryl
Guest guest
I guess the term " small batches " is relative. My table-top glass still is 2 liters and is purely for hobby use. Most botanicals produce a few drops (between a drop or two, up to 1/4 ounce for mints) of oil per run, with the best part being the distillate or hydrosol. The oil is extra special for concoctions I make for personal use, but if it is for production of soaps, lotions, etc., you really can't beat the suppliers who make eo's available in quantity. That's my experience, anyway.
