Guest guest
I agree and in fact it's a good idea to be suspicious of the viral emails that are circulating. The people who write those viral emails are counting on the American people to be too lazy to research and get the facts for themselves - they wish to influence public opinion, and a good way to do this is to incite irrational fear. In fact, if it's not a news article written by a reputable independent news source it isn't worth reading, IMO. It's necessary to be careful though because some so-called news sources are also funded by powerful corporations. There are billions and billions of dollars being paid to " big insurance " by the American worker at this time, and the people aren't getting their money's worth. A lot of this money is being spent lobbying to maintain the status quo. There is much at stake. I believe that the only people who will really be adversely affected by reform are the fat cats who make millions off health care each year. They might make a bit less money but still be wealthier than the rest of us, and I believe the average American will be better off in the long run. As Americans I believe we have a responsibility to learn the truth, be aware that there are very powerful insurance industry lobbyists who are working to manipulate the public to their own ends, and when our government isn't working FOR us as it should, we should get involved and help be a part of the solution. Now, if we could just get naturopathic healthcare treatments covered by insurance! Susan , annie wrote: > > There are ways to check if some of this wording in the email you received > is fact.
