OT: Health Care Bill - long reply

Selkie, I am so very sorry about the loss of your daughter. That is heart

breaking.

 

The thing that I find disturbing is we are such a large and wealthy nation, and

we are letting people die. When I hear people worry that taxes might go up a

bit for health care reform, I wonder what kind of people are we, that we aren't

willing to help each other out. In the old days people understood that in order

to survive we all had to help our neighbors. We assisted each other with the

harvesting of our crops and we held barn raisings. What happened to us? (sadly

shaking my head)
