Guest guest
Unfortunately, at this point they're not talking about everyone having a basic medicare-type coverage here. So buying insurance will still be the way to go here. Those who aren't covered when this legislation is fully enacted will probably be those who chose not to be. Hi Ien, Same for us in Australia. We are all covered by medicare, and have the option of taking out private insurance. I think I would strongly object to being forced to take out insurance with a private insurance company. Virginia West Aussie I am having a really hard time with this bill. I am all in favor of a government-run insurance scheme, and thank my lucky stars that Canada has medicare. It may not be perfect, but most of us prefer it to the situation South of the border. But being FORCED to buy from PRIVATE for PROFIT insurers makes no sense at all. I just don't get it.
