Guest guest
As a mama to 6 dogs all ages, sizes and shapes the best advice for a puppy is crate when you're not home. Done correctly its not inhumane, better than the puppy getting into chocolate and all sorts of other trouble! Our " baby " now almost 2 is a rebellious teenager now, but was a very well behaved puppy. He's food driven along with our St Bernard so the kitchen is off limits in our house as counters have been cleaned, food eaten as it cooled on the stove and the trash strewn. Baby gates also become your best friend!! A sturdy plastic babygate worth 30 bucks has saved me so so much stress!! I wish you the best of luck from one doggy mom to another! Guest guest
Hey Rebecca I've no problems with crates. I have two, the travel crate and the one in my bedroom, which, alas, doesn't get as much use as it should. Don't have baby gate because they wouldn't be of use. We have SIX different ways to get into the kitchen, so we have to come up with something different there. She's getting better, or I'm getting better. One of us seems to be getting better. ;-) Good luck with your pack and thanks for taking the time to respond.
