Guest guest
Hello Kathy, I apologize if this was offensive to anyone. > I too thought the post was a bit over the line but I would recommend you not get into the habit of apologizing IF something you do was offensive to ANYONE. I can not imagine what we could do that would not offend someone. > I thought it showed the thinking on both sides. That was the only reason I > posted. > So .. your motives were good even though the outcome was not necessarily outstanding. ;-) We all learned something .. so we keep on trucking and do our best to do our best. As a moderator I do have a suggestion. If someone does not like a post they can reply in a civil manner .. or they can delete it and they can write to a moderator off line and complain .. on line complaints will not be appreciated by all members and will rarely be appreciated by list owners and moderators. If folks want to see where they stand as far as opinions on Health Care Reform .. they should check the polls that have been posted on the group. Obviously there are differences of opinion and we can not satisfy everybody all the time. As for information that is more relevant to Oils & Herbs, etc., if folks have questions or comments they should ask away and they will receive a reply. I have been a member of this group since it began .. when we had less than 100 members .. not there are 2,000. In all cases folks got replies to their questions. This discussion is not preempting such discussion. Y'all have a good one .. and keep smiling. :-) Butch
Guest guest
I would like a pat on the back for having stayed out of this discussion for as long as I have. " Good Kathleen, what a good girl you are. " I read that post. I actually thought it had a valid point. At this point, no one knows what we're buying. Good, bad or indifferent. Yeah, it was down a party line, but it did have a point. Give the girl a break. Like Butch, I've lived in a few places. Not as many, but a few that weren't in the Good Ole US of A. I've been in two countries that had socialized medicine and I've been to quacks in both. I've also used Military hospitals. In both cases I've seen the bad and the good. And there is plenty of both, believe you me. I've had 3 babies in England and 1 in this country. I'll take the British health system over the broken American system anytime. oh, here, scare time. Socialized Medicine. This is going to give some folk a heart attack, stroke, break out into a sweat and grab for Old Glory and that's part of MY fun. Here we go: Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized Socialized. How many of you still standing? It drives me around the twist, that the word " socialized " is used and Americans go NUTS, start freaking out and screaming that this is America and not Russia. Not all Americans, granted. But enough. More than enough. The US will never have socialized health care as such. The rate we're going because of all the commie fearing, flag waving, patriotic dumb asses, the health care system will never get the proper over haul that it needs. And this is leaving out the self interest groups. For those that are terrified of the Socialized Health care system, I sure hope that they never use Medicaid, Medicare or go into the military and use the medical offered there. Sigh. Whats the point? All I did was vent my spleen and build up a new head of steam. Shutting up now and waiting to get my hand slapped.
