Guest guest
Personally, I thought it was a very thought provoking story, obviously a story (who knows it if actually happened), but it made me see this whole issue in a nut shell. I also wish more people understood it. Regards, Kathi Kathi Kirschner, Site Services Leader 1125 Trenton-Harbourton Rd, Titusville, NJ Desk: 609-730-7519 .. Guest guest
HI Kathy  I thought it was an amusing story that made a good point – that we really ought to know what’s in the bill before we start making judgments about how it’s going to affect us . I think what people might find objectionable was the characterization of the young pro-health care reform fanatics at the table. (Ex. Free stuff for everybody! Obama for “sainthoodâ€!, etc.). The story could have just as well depicted the folks at that table as being fanatics on the other side of the debate. ‘Ya know – “this health care reform bill will be the end of freedom in America as we know it†and that kind of nonsense. Either way, those kinds of characterizations may make it sound propagandistic. I wish there was some way to get an objective synopsis of the bill so we can all know what we're talking about. I'd like to read the bill itself, but as it was written by bureaucrats, it will be simultaneously long and verbose, and pretty much incomprehensible. I doubt the politicians that voted for it have even read it. Sigh...   Patty Ganache for Lips http://www.ganacheforlips.com ________________________________ Kathy <vanokat Thu, April 1, 2010 8:58:35 AM OT: What Are The Rules?  I apologize if this was offensive to anyone.
