Hi, Anya, Butch, ListMom, and Folks....

 

I'd just like to say, I am glad the ListMom and Moderators have allowed

this thread to run...

 

I personally have never seen any kind of response to any kind of thread

topic as well attended as this, before, on this list....

 

OK, OK...the restaurant story post sounded to me like so much BS....I

cannot accept that that dialogue actually went down in that fashion...I

understand the points being made, and actually agree with the point of

the story...

 

If the person actually was reporting a true incident....Well damn, I

wish I'd have been there to grab the keys....The outcome would have been

vastly different...

 

Scripted bullshit like this, plugging either side of the Health Care

debate, is all over the Net...

 

That's all, unless it is a real incident, it is.....Scripted Bullshit...

 

Is this OT thread appropriate for this list.....?

 

My take is, that it is, because it's going to affect each and every one

of us....It is....And folks are thinking...

 

I'll be honest....I have been following this issue closely for a year

and a half or so....It is gonna affect my life....I am continually

amazed at how little about the issue my friends understand....

 

This the first mail list I belong to, airing the issue...Up front...

 

THANK YOU, ListMom and Moderators....

 

Universal Health Care is a noble goal...Our " reform " has done little but

shift $$ around, and is not addressing the causes of the problem...

 

Cutting funding for the retirees and disabled folks by almost $500

billion annually, in order to float the mess, is not addressing or

" reforming " the issue....

 

It is going to kill older folks....

 

Going from " safe and effective " to " safe and effective, plus a

cost/benefit analysis " ...Whatever the hell that is...

 

It is gonna kill older folks...

 

The real crux of the problem, is the corporate mentality of the Health

Insurance For Profit industry...They have to answer to their

shareholders...You cannot blame them, really, if you are honest about

it....They hafta lobby the folks in power...Record amounts, if reports

are to be believed...I beleive them...

 

We are going to be railroaded into more of the very force that's doing

us in costwise...<G>...!

 

Am I wrong....? Hell, show me I'm wrong, and I'll grin like the Chesire

Cat....! Show me I'm wrong...I'll savor every moment afterwards...!

 

You know...if the " Reform " had been done right, it could have been a

" Win-Win " all the way Around....

 

Now, I dunno....
