Guest guest
Howdy y'all, Someone just wrote me off line and asked a question that some others might also have .. like I said, its not possible to cover all bases in a post and sometimes some folks will interpret a sentence differently than the way it was intended by the writer. The question was .. why did I deem it necessary to specify that the Master Gunny I met was a black man. The answer is .. because we agreed totally on all issues we discussed .. to include the present administration .. and my personal experience is that race plays very little role in determining the attitudes of professionals in certain lines of work .. in police work (with some exceptions at lower levels) .. in federal law enforcement and intelligence almost without exception and in the military .. exceptions are as rare as hen's teeth. I think it falls back on what I mentioned in my post .. different expectations and different perceptions of reality. So there. ;-) Butch
