Guest guest
I hear what you're saying, Butch. My father (91 right now) was an Air Force Colonel and lives now in the Veterans Home in Chula Vista, CA, where he can discuss " the good old days " with his cronies. But he and his friends there all back the health reform bill. Even though they have the VA and he himself has Kaiser (from retiring from the City of Los Angeles after 30 yrs. as the head civil engineer). But he has me, and my kids and grandkids as well as my sister and her kids--all of which have no other hope of getting health care. i also have a son who is in the Marines, now serving in Afghanistan, who is also in favor of the bill, as are many there who have family/friends who are having trouble getting care. We all are of a " wait and see " opinion right now. But i'll not complain about anyones attempts to level the playing field on any subject. However, i guess i am mostly of a socialist bent, as i am Canadian.
