Guest guest
Dear Danny and all, I don't know of any clinical studies done on Yu Quan Wan, but here is a link to a review of a study done on Zhi Zi as a possible starting point to treat diabetes. Looks interesting. The link is: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2006/06/060607084320.htm Gardenia Fruit Compound Starting Point For Diabetes Therapy A Gardenia fruit extract traditionally used in Chinese medicine to treat the symptoms of type 2 diabetes does indeed contain a chemical that reverses some of the pancreatic dysfunctions that underlie the disease, researchers report in the June 7, 2006, Cell Metabolism. The chemical therefore represents a useful starting point for new diabetes therapies, they said. Guest guest
I found 12 studies on wanfangdata that referenced to yu quan wan, but they're all in Chinese. Bill asked for studies in English, so I'm just letting you know that studies have been made. One study dealt with the Index of Kidney Injury of Early Diabetic Nephropathy, another examined the Influence of Yuquan pill on inflammatory cytokines in saccharometabolism abnormity, and there was a Clinical Study on Combination of Yu Quan Pill Combined with Berberine for Treatment of 30 Type & #8545; Diabetics with Insulin Resistance.
