Guest guest
On the north side of Chelsea Piers, on the north of the basketball /horsestable building by the frying pan, is pier 63. Kayakers and explorers of the historic boats come to watch the Hudson with patrons of the pier restaurant and bar. It is a magical place. On Saturday August 12, from 2:00-6:00 we will be raising money for CRREW, a community acupuncture group that since 9/11 has been offering free acupuncture, massage and allied wellness services to victims of 9/11. Katrina and the rescue workers who are often secondarily traumatized by helping them. I work with CRREW personally and can vouch for their work. We will have music, bellydancing, a raffle with prizes ranging from essential oils to tickets to the Bodies exhibition, massage, Feldenkreis and acupuncture available on the pier by the stage. The entry is free, but we ask people to make a donation for any professional services they use, to donate and to buy raffle tickets. Please come and support us if you are in or around New York City. You can get there from any subway line's local stop at 23rd street, with an easy transfer to the westbound crosstown bus. I have attached a flyer and a newspaper article. I would appreciate it if you could post the flyer or pass on the word to your friends, students, coworkers or congregations.
