BVook prices on Bestbookdeal versus Campus1

Prompted by Michelle, I searched Campus1 (CAM) for prices for the

same 12 textbook titles mentioned in my earlier mail. I converted the

earlier euro price ( http://www.bestbookdeeal.com [bBD site]) to US$ at

today’s exchange rate (1 euro = 1.27 US$).

 

The following table shows the MIN and MAX prices for each of the 12

books on each of the two sites (BBD and CAM), and the difference

between the two sites.

The MEAN MINIMUM Campus1 price for the 12 books averaged

14US$ LESS than the Bestbookdeal price. However, the Campus1

price did NOT include tax + delivery charges, whereas the BBD price

included those charges.

 

BOTTOM LINE: Taking tax and delivery charges into account, there

was little if any difference in the best prices offered by Campus1 versus

Bestbookdeal. Both sites offered great value and are worth bookmarks

on your PC!

 

Note: Many people prefer Amazon.com to source books because their

site is easy to search and is very fast. However, though Amazon

occasionally has the best book prices on WWW, they occasionally are

dearer than other bookshops. The beauty of Bestbookdeal and

Campus1 is that BOTH sites INCLUDE Amazon in their search.
