I have a pregnant patient whose amnio showed a likelihood of her baby developing this skin disorder. The symptoms seem to be pretty clearcut and amenable to TCM diagnosis. I will likely try Tamanu oil or Yin Care as topicals if the baby develops the disorder. The characteristics of Emu Oil would be beneficial for this. It is very penetrating, is concentrated and has no known side effects or sensitivity reactions. I 've met the Wonder Oil folks and have used their product for a couple years and have gotten great results. For quite comprehensive information, go to: http://emu-oil.com/Ichthyosis.htm Regards, Pamela Zilavy, L.Ac. chexin
