Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I was wondering if any of you have treated polycythemia vera. It is a rare myeloproliferative disease in which the bone marrow makes too many red blood cells making the possibility of thrombi and infarcts very likely. It usually occurs in 60 yr old men but apparently I am an unlucky 39 year old woman. My pulse is slippery and slightly rapid. My tongue is pale and slightly purple, puffy and has no coat (I expected it to be very purple.. but not so far). I am just looking for ideas. I am not going to treat myself. I will find a local acu but wanted to bring any good information that might be out there. It has been a year long struggle with Western Medicine to finally get an answer. Until last week, I had a diagnosis of " probable MS " . (I think I liked that one better!!) I would greatly appreciate any thoughts.
