The use of epimedium in male impotence is poorly documented in the medical literature, as indexed by Medline. A search just now gave only two hits (both published in 2006) for the search profile: (Yinyanghuo OR Yin Yang Huo OR Xian Ling Pi OR Xianlingpi OR epimedii OR epimedium) AND (erection OR penis OR penile OR cavernosum OR erectile OR impot*) See: http://tinyurl.com/yz575g However, absence of hits on Medline does not prove that epimedium was not used clinically to Tx of impotence. For example, page 916 in the book " A Barefoot Doctor's Manual (1977) lists impotence as one of the indications for Yinyanghuo. [That great book - paperback - cost only 5.95 US$ in 1977!!]. I would be interested to hear the FIRST date that any Listers used epimedium in impotence. Best regards,
