Guest guest
Hi All, A query arose as to whether or not magnesium chloride is/was used in TCM. If you know of such usage (internally or topically), please post to the List. A Google search today indicated: Gailuhua = Calcium Chloride = Luhuagai = chloride of calcium Meiluhua = Magnesium Chloride = Luhuamei = chloride of magnesium, found in rich brine, such as in salt lakes of China, the Dead Sea and in other parts of the world. Naluhua = Sodium Chloride = Luhuana = chloride of sodium, found in Shiyan, table salt) In western usage, Ca chloride & Mg chloride can Ease Cramps, back pain, nervous and emotional instability (magnesium supplements can control the desire for food and aid bone function). The only reference to magnesium chloride and TCM that Google gave me today referred to its use in a bath-salts patent.
