WWW has different formulas for White Flower Oil (Bai Hua You). Which

one do you mean?

? Bai Hua You (White Flower Analgesic Oil), a combination of camphor,

eucalyptus and lavender produces this therapeutic massage oil used for

soothing sore muscles, strains, and contusions.

? Bai Hua You (White Flower Embrocation): Ingredients: camphor 6%,

eucalyptus oil 18%, lavender oil 6%, wintergreen oil 40%, menthol crystal or

menthol 15%, peppermint oil 15%. An excelent cooling oil. Use for colds,

flu, headache, muscular pain, minor abdominal pain, minor wounds, insect

bites, and travel sickness.

The latter formula sounds OK for the itch of chickenpox but Google has little

on that.

Chinese herbs used to Erupt/Vent Rashes include: Shegdihuang-

Rehmannia Rx (fresh), Zicao-Lithospermum, Bohe-Mentha/Boheyou-

Peppermint Oil, Shengma-Cimicifuga, Niubangzi-Arctium.

Best regards,

Phil, i had great results, a yr ago for the first time, with essential oil of

peppermint for topical pain, for post herpetic neuralgia. per a good

neurologist, it was a severe case. she was traveling a lot right then, so i had

to come up with something topical that would travel easily. we tried something

tcm first, maybe wfo, but it hurt! someone here suggested peppermint oil, and it

worked wonders. also, it did not have an overwhelming odor for those around her.

andrea, i've found the peppermint oil works fine full strength on the skin when

the irritation is more pronounced. as the lesions heal, dilute the essential oil

with a salve that won't stain clothing. i even have mixed it with a greaseless,

easily absorbed hand lotion. i put the mix in a travel container for the

patient. one patient didn't want to dilute it. yes, it burned a little, but

nothing compared to her original pain! lynn

lynn, do you use the oil undiluted on the skin?
