Interesting article. I imagine we will focus on the sentence that Chinese

acupuncture is

phantasy. I can make the arguement from his research just as easily that Western

tests

provide a crude proof of Chinese acupuncture.

What is disturbing is a lack of humility of the Western viewpoint. A lot of time

is spent

reducing acupuncture to the most basic acupuncture theory... page 50 of CAM...

compares

it to the most basic anatomy-phisiology and then tells us that CM isn't a

sophisticated

theory. Perhaps it is those very elaborate phantasies that create a more

effective

acupuncture results that seems to have eluded him.

Finally, I would suggest that everyone read Lorraine Wilcox's article on the

history of the

channels on the ChinesemedicalTimes.com for a great discussion of why we give

the

channels their names.
