Guest guest
" It was only then that I seriously examined the validity of all I had learnt, only to discover that most of it was phantasy " Interesting article. I imagine we will focus on the sentence that Chinese acupuncture is phantasy. I can make the arguement from his research just as easily that Western tests provide a crude proof of Chinese acupuncture. What is disturbing is a lack of humility of the Western viewpoint. A lot of time is spent reducing acupuncture to the most basic acupuncture theory... page 50 of CAM... compares it to the most basic anatomy-phisiology and then tells us that CM isn't a sophisticated theory. Perhaps it is those very elaborate phantasies that create a more effective acupuncture results that seems to have eluded him. Finally, I would suggest that everyone read Lorraine Wilcox's article on the history of the channels on the ChinesemedicalTimes.com for a great discussion of why we give the channels their names. doug , <wcargal9 wrote: > > Yes Phil > > I wanted to seconds Cara's thanks, > > I always look forward to your herbal abstracts, saves me a lot of time > > thanks, > > Warren Cargal > acuatlanta.net > > > > Cara Frank <herbbabe > > 2007/01/27 Sat PM 04:40:30 EST > > > > Re: Felix Mann's ³Scientific Aspects of > > Acupuncture? > > > > Thanks Phil. > > do you know when this was written?
