Guest guest
Hi there, We're treating a woman who has undergone IVF drug treatments, and has successfully fallen pregnant. The problem is that she is experiencing severe OHSS, to the point where she has gained about 30kg of fluid within a week (!!). The doctors are basically telling her to stay at home and just wait it out (maybe about 2-4 weeks of not be able to lie down because of fluid in the lungs, not being able to move much because of the extra weight and inhibition of movement, etc), we're hoping we might be able to do something more to help her out. We are especially concerned of the conseqences for her current state at such an early stage on her child's development, and are also mindful that our own treatment must be approached very delicately. Does anyone have any experience or advice? Thanks Li -- The more certain the context, the less complete the picture.
