Guest guest
The library at the local acupuncture school is looking for recommendations for journals that they should carry. They provided a list of what they already get: Acupuncture Today (not really a journal), Journal of , New England Journal of Traditional , and Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine. Any recommendations for other English language journals? - Bill ............................................. Bill Schoenbart, L.Ac. P.O. Guest guest
There are two superior ones. One is The Lantern, from Australia, in my opinion the best journal on Chinese herbal medicine. The other is North American Journal of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine out of Vancouver, Canada, a journal of Japanese acupuncture. These are essential. Guest guest
I'd second Z'ev's recommendation of the Lantern and regretfully inform you that we have stopped publishing the New England Journal after three years due to a lack of return on our investment of time and energy (and money). Guest guest
Sorry to hear about the New England Journal. I was a r and enjoyed it quite a bit. Another journal I'd recommend (even though it is not strictly AOM oriented) is the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine. It is the journal of the Society for Acupuncture Research and, unlike most AOM journals it is medline indexed. As far as I am concerned the school should also to major medical journals like NEJM and JAMA. Students need to be able to read and understad what their western counterparts are reading.
