Guest guest
Do you know of a gluten free version of Jin gui shen qi wan? Apparently Plum Blossom uses flour it in that particular formula to keep the pills together. Also, does anyone know of, or has anyone tried to make a gluten-free massa fermentata? Bensky gives proportions although the particular polygonum (apparently a peppery one from the name) is not one I have come across before. One could substitute a gluten free flour. Has anyone tried it and do you have pitfalls to avoid? With so many Americans manifesting gluten sensitivity- whether full blown gut celiac or milder versions that cause immune responses- it seems like there would be an opening for some firm to make digestive remedies, from curing pills to Gan mai da zao wan without gluten. -- Karen Vaughan, MSTOM Licensed Acupuncturist, and Herbalist 253 Garfield Place Brooklyn, NY 11215 (718) 622-6755 Co-Conspirator to Make the World A Better Place: Visit http://www.heroicstories.com/ and join the conspiracy See my Acupuncture and Herbs website at: http://ksvaughan2.byregion.net/ And my website at Avon Walk for Breast Cancer 2005
Guest guest
Last time I needed to ensure certain single herbs are gluten-free I was able to get it from KPC (www.kpc.com) although I didn't check Jin Gui Shen Qi Wan. You may want to give them a call. Mike L. Karen Vaughan <creationsgarden1 wrote: Do you know of a gluten free version of Jin gui shen qi wan? Guest guest
Nu Herbs (nuherbs.com) makes a gluten free Shen Qu. It doesn't come in the standard block form, but a coarse powder similar to granules. Seems to work well too! -Danny Johnson L.Ac. www.santacruzacupuncture.com > > Also, does anyone know of, or has anyone tried to make a gluten-free > massa fermentata? > >
Guest guest
There is no gluten in Blue Poppy Herbs Shen Qu Wan, and it is a 10:1 extract. Guest guest
Does the new federal guidelines for " Gluten-Free " mean that not only must the product be gluten free but the entire factory be gluten free. True? Ed Kasper LAc. www.HappyHerbalist.com
