Guest guest
Hello All. I should introduce myself. I try to keep up w/ CHA as much as possible. I learn a ton from it as a new practioner. Thank you for all the knowledge and experience that you all share! I graduated a couple years ago from PCOM-SD. I started my own practice in the Banker's Hill part of San Diego. I sublease space to a certified rolfer with 18 years experience, and a colon hydrotherapist. I am looking to bring in another acupuncturist to team up with, with different areas/specialties/interests in care, and to team up in marketing. I have had business coaching over the last 6 months and have learned a ton about business and marketing. (The more I learn, the more I realize I do not know!) I want to have another acupuncturist to brainstorm and bounce ideas off of, and I want to market each other. I want a real visionary, to balance off my analytical character. (I've never really believed in competition in this profession. Each practioner brings with them a specific set of skills, interests, experiences, personality, and energy that will attract a specific type of patient.) I grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I have a BS (premed) from Univ. of Wisc.-Madison. I lived in LA for a couple years, worked as a school teacher while I nourished the badly deficient right side of my brain, by acting, dancing, drawing, writing. I fell upon a OMD in Santa Monica because a (very western and conservative) physiology professor of mine at UCLA suggested I go see her for stomach problems. She said that she had no idea how that stuff worked. All she knew was that the woman stuck needles in her, gave her some gross little black balls to swallow, and she got better. As soon as I arrived in her office, I felt such a calm. That lead me to cancel my vet school interviews (yes, vet school, not med school. . .med school just didn't feel right anymore), and apply to PCOM. (The first treatment I received, I went home and slept very, very deeply for 18 hours straight. I felt like a new person when I woke up!) If anyone is interested in growing a practice in banker's hill, please email me! Thanks again for all the help and experience you all offer.
