Guest guest
Dear Z’ev: Since I created my website “shanghanlun.us,†I have learned lots about recent research on the Shang-han Lun in Japan. I exchanged ideas a few times with the top researcher, Makizumi Kazuhiro. In short, I realized what I learned in school about the Six Meridian Theory was a TCM theory, and not an authentic Shang-han Lun theory. I decided to totally revise my site. This revision is based on the following recent Japanese researches: 1) The original Shang-han Lun, which Zhang Zhong-jing compiled, has long gone. The texts we have today, such as the Song Text, are deformed by the compilers. 2) The TCM text of the Shang-han Lun is based on the abridged version of the Notes and Explanation of the Shang-han Lun (Zhu-jie Shang-han Lun), written by Cheng Wu-ji in 1172. 3) Zhang Zhong-jing followed the theory of the Shang-han disease exactly as it is explained in the Su-wen. I also translated the famous stories about Huatuo in the Three States History Nobel (San Guo Zhi Yan Yi). I hope you will enjoy my revision.
