Guest guest
Dear Frances and Doug, First of all, Doug I would agree that this headache would be consistant with bruxing. I would also add that in bruxers (teeth grinders) I have treated, a couple of patterns consistantly presented themselves: liver wind stirring up heart fire, and coming from liver and kd yin xu, and sp qi and lv blood xu. I would be curious as to whereb in the head, the headache seems to originate from anatomically. A couple of other facts to consider: 1. Though I have heard over and over that an assumption of kd yin or liv xue xu can't be automatically concluded for peri and post menopausal women, I have yet to see a woman in that age group who lives the rigors of city life and/or has given birth and raised a family who, before treatment is not at least moderately vacuitous. and 2. Intuitively, when I hear a woman who meditates and does yoga every day, I sense over-thinking which damages the spleen qi, and this process just continues to manifest during sleep with the clenching. Does she also have alot of dreams? How is her heart pulse and the tip of her tongue. Any signs of Heart yin xu as well? In almost all the cases I have seen of bruxers, they had that tell tale red tip, with a thready, rapid and/or weak heart pulse. wrote: I usually associate this type of headache with teeth grinding or clenching in the night. Which makes me wonder if apnea is defined always as constriction of the airway or is it any kind of sleep interruption. doug , " Frances L.
