Guest guest
Hi All, I am recently studying up on the treatment of PCOS, especially in regards to the treatment of infertility. Now a common presentation for PCOS is muzzle acne that fluctuates with the menses. This type of acne can be due to elevated levels of testosterone. Mazin Al Khafaji passed on a formula during his dermatology course that he said helps convert androgens to estrogens and is specific for the treatment of acne related to PCOS. The formula is basically: Xu Chasng Qing Bai Hua She She Cao Chai Hu Bai Shao Gan Cao Now my question is, knowing that modern research does show that Bai Hua She She Cao lowers male hormones dramatically ( lowers sperm counts), can this influence a womens reproductive hormones as well? Meaning will less estradoil be converted from testosterone if the testosterone levels are reduced too much, and thus be a detriment to fertility? I haven't heard too much about Bai Hua She She Cao on womens hormones, so I guess I am a little confused. Any one with experience or thoughts about this? Thanks, Trevor
