Guest guest
I want to again tell people this little thing about editing your posts. A CHA member emailed me seperately about it. It's kind of akin to littering. doug Seperately, I want to remind people to not put whole long posts made up of the past posts... those who get a digest end up with pages of redundant material. If you are responding to someone, it is fair to edit their long posts down. This becomes an issue only in the heat of arguments (which we haven't had lately) when someone may get unfairly quoted or an actual quote from one gets attributed to another. You can also indicate editing with ______ or ***** or something like that. It is polite to leave the SO and SO writes: thanks, doug Hey Doug, would you mind posting this again under a new thread title. Maybe everyone didn't catch it tagged onto the end of a posting. I thought about copying and pasting but I didn't want to manipulate a posting that wasn't mine. It is tough scrolling through all the back posts. maybe also mention that long signatures or signatures with images take up a lot of space. thanks for doing a great job !
