Guest guest
Patient is a 42-y-o woman. She's had a large Bartholin's cyst at her vaginal opening for several years. It is a nuisance during intercourse. Gynecologist wanted to schedule surgery but px wants to resolve it with herbs, internal and/or external application. Tongue is dry, sl. dusky, lung crack, and sl. white coat (not greasy). Pulses are sl. thready. Catches colds easily and asthmatic occasionally. Def. ki and liv yin. Menses on scanty side. I was thinking of a variation of er miao san, though no greasy tongue coat. Any advice on external tx and other? Thank you for all help. Guest guest
Frances- There was a case of this in the student clinic. She had a cyst the size of a large marble. The intern used Ren 1 and one of the main ponts. It was gone in a couple of days. FWIW -Steve On Apr 16, 2007, at 9:07 AM, Frances L. Gander wrote: > Patient is a 42-y-o woman. Guest guest
Hi Frances, We make a compress in our clinic that we use on the abdomen for fallopian tube adhesions. We've extended it's use to other phlegm stagnation with heat and blood stasis. We've found it successful in treating Bartholin's cysts. You can get the compress from us or I can give you the ingredients to make it. Best Sharon Patient is a 42-y-o woman. She's had a large Bartholin's cyst at her vaginal opening for several years.
