Guest guest
Nice article in Reuter's on ginseng- at the moment this headline is first up on news' " Most Popular " : Flaxseed, ginseng show benefit in cancer treatment The article discusses a well-designed clinical trial that showed a dose-dependent benefit of ginseng in the treatment of fatigue in chemotherapy. I liked that they specified the dose (and used a realistic, albeit modest quantity), the type, the production region, and the crop uniformity of the ginseng used. They paid attention to proper quality control/sourcing and dosage, and they got a good result. Yes, the study used xi yang shen. The photo that put to accompany it is a bit random (I didn't even know they grew ginseng in Germany!), but the study itself looks interesting. I can't find the full text of the study though. It looks as though the study may have been just presented at a conference last weekend- if anyone finds the full-text article in a journal or pubmed, please send us the citation or link. Thanks!
