Hi Andrea Beth & All,

The legal requirements as to who can diagnose & treat animal diseases /

disorders for a fee vary between states / countries.

In most EU states, one MUST hold a veterinary licence to diagnose and

treat animals for a fee. At present, one usually may treat one's own animals,

or a friend's animals (without charging a fee) as of right.

That is changing, however, as people damand more freedom-of-choice (and

less monopoly) in their lives.

For the moment, IVAS and most National Vet Acup societies restrict

TRAINING in veterinary acupuncture to vets only. There are exceptions,

such as for professional academics or researchers who want to study AP for

their teaching / research needs.
